Beijing Education Examinations Institute, established in February, 1996, is located at No.9 Zhixin East Road, Haidian District, Beijing. It is subordinate to the Beijing Municipal Education Commission of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and is mainly responsible for the Beijing junior high school level examination, the national unified examination for enrollment of ordinary colleges and universities, the national postgraduate entrance examination and the adult college entrance examination.
Manage and study the self-study examination for higher education and the non-academic certificate examination for the society, and undertake the examination for Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools. The Beijing Education Examinations Institute implements the responsibility system of the president, and now has the Party and Government Office, Personnel Department, Party and Mass Work Department, Administrative and Financial Office, Commission for Discipline Inspection Office (Resident Ombudsman's Office), Scientific Research Evaluation Department, Examination Department and Information Management Department.
Proposition 1, Proposition 2, Secondary School Admissions Office, University Admissions Office, Postgraduate Admissions Office, Adult Education Admissions Office, Higher Education Self-taught Examination Office, Social Examination Office, 16 Office and its directly affiliated unit Beijing Examination Newspaper Office. Beijing Education Examinations Institute has also developed many non-academic examinations.
There are also some projects developed in cooperation with overseas examination institutions. At present, Beijing Education Examinations Institute organizes about 200 exams every year, and more than 2 million candidates take the exams. Through some entrance examinations, 350,000 candidates were admitted to schools at all levels. The examinations held by Beijing Education Examinations Institute are divided into three categories.
Namely: education examination related to academic qualifications, non-academic certificate examination for the society and Chinese-foreign cooperation examination. The first type of examination items include: Beijing junior high school academic level examination (senior high school entrance examination), national unified examination for enrollment of ordinary colleges and universities (college entrance examination), adult college entrance examination (adult college entrance examination) and higher education self-study examination (self-study examination).
The second type of examination includes: primary and secondary school teacher qualification examination, national computer grade examination, national computer application technology certificate examination (NIT), national children's computer module examination (NIT), public English examination system (PETS) and Beijing oral English grade certificate examination.
The third kind of examinations include: Cambridge English Band Five Certificate Examination (MSE), Cambridge Children's English Examination (CYLET), Cambridge Secretary Certificate Examination, London City Industry Association Professional Qualification Certificate Examination (C & ampg), Trinity College English Speaking Examination (GESE) and Beijing English Proficiency Examination (BETS).
