According to the secondary vocational school network, Zhangjiajie Tourism School is an ordinary secondary vocational school founded by Yongding County Education Bureau of Zhangjiajie City on 1983. The school system is three years, and the academic level belongs to secondary education. Zhangjiajie Tourism Vocational School was established in Dayong County on 1983 with the approval of the Education Committee of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. It is the earliest tourism vocational school established in Hunan. At the beginning, there was only one class with 47 students. 1995, renamed Zhangjiajie Tourism Vocational School. In 2006, it was renamed Zhangjiajie Tourism School.
