Why is it more important to cultivate interest than to impart knowledge in middle school education?
When it comes to the task of basic education, I don't want to copy the long speeches in the book. I just want to talk about my personal opinion. The meaning of this sentence is summed up as "it is better to teach people to fish than to teach them to fish", which is strongly advocated by educational theory in recent years. First of all, the purpose of education is to improve students' personal comprehensive ability, and knowledge reserve is only a part of personal ability. How to use the existing knowledge reserve to solve problems is the key, which is limited to teachers' imparting knowledge. Teachers should protect children's thirst for knowledge in their usual teaching activities and encourage students to acquire knowledge through their own efforts. On the one hand, this will make teaching methods more flexible and diverse, on the other hand, it will also make children more confident and enthusiastic about learning. Speaking of learning methods, I personally think that teachers should play the role of a guide and supervisor, guide students to find suitable learning methods, and urge students to develop good study habits so that students can benefit for life. Secondly, I personally think that the effect of education is to cultivate a sound personality and cultivate children's self-esteem and self-confidence. Those who can only eat fish, recite, can't fish and have no self-learning ability can hardly have confidence. I regard my interest in learning, that is, my desire for lifelong learning, as a by-product of basic education. After all, learning is an effort, which is relatively boring compared with entertainment. The interest cultivation of ordinary primary and secondary schools in China only stays on slogans. Exam-oriented education only examines the knowledge that students get from teachers. As for learning methods, interest and ability, these are the icing on the cake. Of course, good learning methods and learning ability can ensure the output of good learning effects.
