Xiamen University, undergraduate, was founded in 192 1 by the famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader Chen Jiageng. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in China's modern education history, and the first university in China to build an independent campus overseas, and it is known as "the strong country in the South".

Xiamen University is divided into three campuses, with its headquarters in Siming District, Xiamen. One of the campuses, Xiamen University International College, is in Xiang 'an, Xiamen, and the other is Software College in Zhangzhou.

Xiamen University International College is located in Xiang 'an Campus of Xiamen University, with superior educational resources and environment. Formerly known as Xiamen University Preparatory College, it was established in May 2005. International College, directly under Xiamen University, is a public school.
