Dance majors train high-level professionals who can engage in the research of Chinese and foreign dance history, dance theory, dance teaching and choreography. This major trains senior Korean folk dance artists and "compound" specialized applied talents who can teach, create and coach Korean folk dance, China folk dance and ballet in schools, art groups, art (cultural) museums, youth palaces and other units.

Main courses: dance writing course, dance morphology, dance history in China, folk dance culture in China, outline of world ballet history, modern dance history in Europe and America, dance professional English, dance literature retrieval and utilization, China's dance image theory, Chinese and foreign dance thought courses, dance anatomy, etc.

The practice teaching of dance major, the main practice teaching links: including social practice and dance status survey, generally arranged for 4 weeks.

The employment trend of dance major, the survey results show that the school needs dance teachers who can not only dance, teach and compose music, but also participate in music teaching in some areas. Therefore, the combination of dance skills and teachers' ability, and the combination of dance and music are the requirements of the development of the times and school art education.
