Meimei was born on July 25th, 20 18 in Walnut Ping Wild Training Base, Wolong, China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center. She was only 84g at birth. Meimei grew up healthily in the panda kindergarten at Shenshuping base of the research center.

Giant panda: A mammal belonging to Xiong Ke and the genus Giant Panda. There are only two subspecies. Males are slightly older than females. Shaped like a bear, plump and rich, with a round head and a short tail. Head and body length 1.2 to 1.8m, tail length 10 to 12cm.
