Hunan Science and Technology Museum is the first super-large popular science venue in Hunan, located next to the cultural park opposite the new site of Hunan provincial government, covering an area of 186 mu, with a total investment of more than 300 million yuan. The main building of Hunan Science and Technology Museum is in the shape of spiral galaxy, which draws lessons from and echoes the Chu art style represented by Juan Yun in a smooth and dynamic form and becomes one of the most distinctive landmark buildings in Changsha. At present, the theme pavilions that have been put into trial operation include manufacturing world, material space, energy world, information port, earth home, life experience, mathematics enlightenment, space exploration, children's science park and 4D cinema. After its opening, Hunan Science and Technology Museum has become an important platform for displaying scientific and technological achievements and the main place for popular science education.

Hunan Science and Technology Museum has 9 theme exhibition halls, including manufacturing world, material space, energy world, information port, earth home, life experience, mathematics enlightenment, space exploration, children's science park, and 4D cinema, with 35/kloc-0 pieces of permanent popular science education exhibits. It also integrates the knowledge of life science, environmental science, aerospace technology and other comprehensive disciplines, and adopts interactive means such as model operation, multimedia and popular science theater, so that visitors can receive popular science education and modern science and technology in pleasure and improve their scientific literacy. The Dome Digital Cinema is still under debugging and is expected to open in August this year. Huxiang culture exhibition

In order to implement the proposal of He Jishan, academician of China Academy of Engineering and chairman of Hunan Association for Science and Technology, that science and culture should be combined and science and art should be combined in the provincial science and technology museum, the provincial science and technology museum hired Wang Yuming, academician of Tsinghua University, a group of experts, scholars and old artists from Hunan Couplets Association and Hunan Poetry Association to write more than ten popular science couplets and poems, which were written by famous calligraphers in the province and displayed in every corner of the science and technology museum.
