There are two normal universities in Jiangsu: Nanjing Normal University, Jiangsu Normal University, Yancheng Normal University, Huaiyin Normal University, Nanjing Xiaozhuang College and Jiangsu Second Normal University.

1, Nanjing Normal University

Nanjing Normal University, referred to as Nanjing Normal University for short, is located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. It was jointly built by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, China People and Ministry of Education. It is a national "2 1 1 engineering" key construction university and a national "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction university, and has been selected into "National Construction of High-level Universities" and "Excellent Teacher Training Plan".

2. Jiangsu Normal University

Jiangsu Normal University is located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, a famous historical and cultural city in China and a thoroughfare of five provinces. It is one of the nine universities implemented by the National Training Plan of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, one of the "Excellent Teacher Training Plan" universities, one of the provincial key universities in Jiangsu Province and Xuzhou City, and also a university established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province.

3. Yancheng Teachers College

Yancheng Teachers College is a public undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province, a national model school for standardization of language and writing, a national teacher training base, a provincial pilot school for education and training of outstanding teachers and engineers, and a provincial training base for international service outsourcing talents. It is the lead unit of Yancheng University Teaching Consortium designated by the Provincial Department of Education. The school motto is "virtuous, knowledgeable, realistic and practical".

4. Huaiyin Teachers College

Huaiyin Teachers College, located in Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province, is a Jiangsu provincial institution of higher learning with the main feature of teacher education and the right to confer master's degrees. The school motto is "respecting morality, inspiring, erudite and persistent".

College was established in June 1997 by the merger of Huaiyin Teachers College and Huaiyin Education College. On March 3, 2000, with the approval of Jiangsu provincial government, Huaiyin Normal School and Huai 'an Normal School merged into Huaiyin Normal College.
