Morphological characteristics of ballet apples
Ballet apples are shrubs or small trees, which are cultivated by the East Maolin Horticultural Research Institute in Britain. They can be planted with short branches and high density, and are new tree species for landscaping. After being introduced into China, it has performed well in Anshan, Shenyang, Beijing and other places.

Adult trees are 2-3 meters high, with purple bark, straight trunk, underdeveloped lateral branches and firm branches. It blooms in the first half of May, with red flowers, and the flowering period is about 20 days. The leaves are long and oval, thick in texture, red in spring, summer and autumn, and deep red or purple in late autumn. The fruit is purplish red, and the fruiting period is from May to 10, like lanterns covered with branches.

This kind of tree can withstand the low temperature of -33℃ and can be planted in both north and south. Drought and salt tolerance, can grow normally in soil with pH value of 8.0.
