1. Sichuan Institute of Building Science was founded in 1954, formerly known as Southwest Institute of Building Science of the Ministry of Construction. After many changes and developments, it has developed into a comprehensive architectural research institute with the largest scale, complete professional categories and strong scientific and technological strength in the western region.

Organization Introduction: Especially since 200 1 was transformed into an enterprise, in order to adapt to the development of socialist market economy and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the professional structure and organization have been adjusted, and the development idea of "scientific and technological innovation is the foundation of establishing a hospital, development and technical services are the source of survival, and development and reform are the driving force for strengthening a hospital" has been established. On the basis of consolidating scientific research and technical services, based on innovation, a scientific and technological enterprise was established and developed into a comprehensive scientific research unit that can undertake scientific research, survey and design, supervision, quality inspection and appraisal, consultation, special construction and new product development. According to the requirements of the central authorities on deepening the reform of the science and technology system and the deployment of the Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province, our institute was transformed into a scientific and technological enterprise in April 20001year, becoming the first scientific research institute in Sichuan Province to be transformed from a scientific research institution into a scientific and technological enterprise. There are 407 employees in our hospital. There are 10 business research institutions such as Institute of Building Engineering Materials, Institute of Building Energy Conservation, Institute of Basic Research, Institute of Engineering Testing, Institute of Prestressing and Steel Structure Technology, Institute of Comprehensive Structure, Institute of Structure and Earthquake Resistance, Design No.1 Institute, Design No.2 Institute, R&D Center of Computer Software, Sichuan Building Science Research Editorial Department, etc. Sichuan Construction Engineering Quality Inspection Center, Sichuan Jianke Engineering Technology Company, Sichuan Construction Engineering Supervision Company and Sichuan Construction New Technology Engineering Company were established. Our institute is the chairman of the National Technical Committee for Building Appraisal and Reinforcement, and the Sichuan Construction Engineering Quality Supervision and Inspection Station is located here.
