On February 24th, 2006, Shanghai Textile Party School, Textile Vocational College and Textile Cadre School were merged into the Textile Party School according to the overall strategic steps of "Science, Technology and Fashion" of Shanghai Textile. Implement a management model of one leading group and three brands. According to the overall planning of industrial adjustment of Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Company, Shanghai Textile Industry Workers' College, a subsidiary of the group company with relatively concentrated educational resources, regards "developing fashion education" as a new way to integrate into the main strategy of "technology and fashion" in textile control. Since 2006, we have actively explored the development model of fashion education. After more than two years of exploration and practice, the development plan of clothing education has been put forward in an all-round way. Fashion education has also been formally included in the three-year industrial development plan of Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Company, and the development direction is to provide management talents and creative design talents for fashion manufacturing and service industries. In 2009, Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. will invest more than 70 million yuan to build the "Fashion Education and Training" building in the location of Shanghai Textile Industry Workers' College (No.652, changshou road), and has completed the bidding for the conceptual design of the building.

The school stands at a new starting point, stands on a new high point, closely follows the strategic deployment of "scientific and technological fashion" of Shanghai textile, dares to explore and open up new fields of school fashion education.
