China citizens with college education or above, or with intermediate or above technical titles in accounting and related majors, may apply for taking the national unified examination for certified public accountants; Persons with senior technical titles in accounting or related majors may be exempted from some subjects. Persons with senior technical titles in accounting or related majors (including those with the titles of associate professor and associate researcher in accounting or related majors in schools and scientific research units) may apply for exemption 1 professional stage examination.

The exemption year is the year when the applicant applies, and the applicant shall apply for exemption before the start of this year's examination. The registration of the national unified examination for certified public accountants is carried out through the online registration system for the national unified examination for certified public accountants. Registration is divided into three steps: online name prediction, qualification examination and payment confirmation. Log on to the website of China Institute of Certified Public Accountants, click on the link of "Online Registration for Certified Public Accountants Examination", and enter the "Online Registration System for National Unified Examination for Certified Public Accountants" for online name prediction.

Applicants who sign up for the professional stage examination for the first time must hold the information form of forecast name, the original and photocopy of ID card, the original and photocopy of academic certificate or intermediate or above professional title certificate, and go to the registration site for registration qualification review.

Applicants who hold foreign academic certificates should also provide the original academic certificate and the Chinese certificate that the academic degree notarized by the notary office has been recognized by the Ministry of Education. Applicants can apply for six subjects in the professional stage exam at the same time in one exam, or they can choose to apply for some subjects. The examination is divided into professional stage examination and comprehensive stage examination. Candidates can only take the comprehensive stage exam after passing all the subjects in the professional stage exam.

Professional examination subjects: accounting, auditing, financial cost management, corporate strategy and risk management, economic law, tax law;

Comprehensive stage examination subjects: comprehensive test of professional ability (paper 1 and paper 2);

Examination scope: determined by the Examination Committee of the Ministry of Finance in the published examination outline.
