Nanjing Teachers College of Special Education is located in Nanjing, the "capital of fraternity", and it is the only provincial ordinary undergraduate college in China that trains special education teachers and professionals for the disabled. The school was founded by the Ministry of Education 1982 with the support of UNICEF. Formerly known as "Nanjing Normal School for Special Education", it is the first secondary normal school in New China to train special education teachers, which is under the management of the Ministry of Education.
