Is it appropriate for me to divide into six classes? There is also the problem of learning methods.
Here are some of my experiences:

Discover potential

My high IELTS score can't be attributed to the training class. The teacher gave me great help in confidence and exam-taking skills. At first, I only signed up because of my mother's suggestion, and I didn't know how many points I could get. Before school started, I had already taken the exam two months later.

After listening to the first introductory lesson, I flipped through several thick textbooks. I feel horrible. I sent a text message to my mother during class, saying not to sign up ... After class, I nervously asked the teacher, "Teacher, I am only a sophomore, and my basic English is OK, but do you think I can take IELTS after studying for two months?" Is it too urgent? Do you want to cancel the exam? "

The teacher didn't say anything, but gave me a reassurance: if I don't pass the exam, I will take it several times. It is always right to try. There are many similar successful examples. Don't be afraid, just accumulate experience.

I made up my mind. In fact, a person is completely unaware of his potential before doing something. Thanks to the teacher for letting me discover my potential!

Practice listening and listen to fast English directly.

Let's talk about listening first I started listening to VOA(VoiceofAmerica). I don't listen to special English very much. I felt dissatisfied, so I listened quickly. At that time, the third day, naturally only heard a lot of chatter. But I especially like the tone and pronunciation of the VOA announcer. Authentic sentence breaks and expressions will never be realized on tape. Even if I don't understand them, I am particularly interested. I insist on listening, sleeping, walking, and listening during evening self-study. The more you listen, the clearer you will be, from hearing irrelevant words to hearing the whole sentence and then hearing the meaning of the sentence.

In order to achieve the best listening effect, I didn't listen to the broadcast draft attached to the CD at first, but listened after I thoroughly understood the words I didn't understand, and finally listened, so that I could understand even the most difficult jokes. Of course, except for some expressions that are too American, you can only go to foreigners. In this way, I have listened to every VOA for at least 20 times, and after listening to more than 40 radio articles in 5 books, I still feel that it is not cool enough. The vocabulary has increased unconsciously, and the school listening test has become boring.

So I bought another English soundtrack movie, and I couldn't watch it with subtitles. It's really bad to contrast subtitles. In short, I don't watch Chinese dubbing, because you will find that once you can understand the dialogue in the movie, your feeling of English is quite authentic and you can think in English more or less.

Besides movies, I also watch English programs of TVBPearl and ATVWorld. Now the news and most programs of the two channels have English subtitles, which greatly facilitates us! In a word, a lot of input is the best way to practice listening. Once on the right track, it will enter a virtuous circle of progress.

Practice oral English "Come back after losing face"

I put special emphasis on the pronunciation of spoken English. Everyone must practice their accent until they are clear, fluent and natural, otherwise even the best English will not be understood, which will be very uncomfortable. If you are not satisfied with your pronunciation, you naturally don't want to speak more English, so it is difficult for you to improve your English.

Language learning can't save face. We should have the ambition of "I was born with a mouth, and I will come back without a face". If others can understand it, it is victory! I used to be a very shy person, but I was forced to speak because I was an exchange student abroad. It took me a long time to grow a thick skin. In order to correct my pronunciation, I often listen to the recording "Forget My Feelings" and gradually practice an American pronunciation, such as long vowels and short consonants.

Usually at home, I will talk to myself in English from time to time when I am happy. Talking to yourself is really effective. When you speak spoken English, you often feel that your mind is full of ideas. If my mind is full of thought-out sentences, only er comes to er when I open my mouth, except I think so (n seconds), and I can't say a word of good words I have learned. If all I say is kindergarten, I just want to slap my mouth. If you talk to yourself more, the synchronization between your mouth and your brain will be greatly enhanced, and confidence will come.

After completing the above three steps, my face has been lowered, my pronunciation has been corrected, and my expression has felt a little better. At this time, I can go out and talk to someone. This is how oral English is practiced.

Of course, good habits are also important, such as reading English aloud every day. English learners with good spoken English are generally confident, and they are often the best in English learning. Because the most important purpose of language is oral communication, we can't take notes when we meet foreigners.

Skillful skills are the shortcut to high marks.

I have some suggestions about preparing for the IELTS test:

1. Do at least five simulation questions, each for four hours like an exam. We must adapt to the rhythm of the exam and find the state in actual combat.

2. Make up the composition before the exam. Although the focus is on accumulation, the surprise before the exam is really effective. After all, writing articles is very disciplined. A composition should imitate several model essays that suit you. The standard of a model essay is not the exaggeration of words, but whether it can express the clearest meaning in the simplest words and have clear structure and ideas at the same time.

Another thing to mention is the use of templates. IELTS test time is tight, and improvisation often leads to endless writing. Therefore, it is best to prepare structural templates in advance, and it is particularly important to set up argument templates for topics in comprehensive writing. Without the template taught by the teacher, I can never get full marks in writing. For example, what to write in the first paragraph, how to summarize the general idea, what to write in the second paragraph, how to construct sentences, which words to support and which words to oppose, how to compare opinions and so on. It is best to have some real content and examples in the composition, which can impress the examiner.

My writing style is very concise from syntax to structure. I don't even need a few IELTS words, just high school words, but it may be because I wrote my true feelings (about the concern and gratitude of the math teacher; At that time, the topic was "Should teachers give students confidence or knowledge? ), so I got full marks.

3. Listening, listen carefully to several articles in a short time until you understand them word by word. Those original versions of the Cambridge exam are all quite good. It is strongly recommended that you listen carefully and dictate!

4. Prepare a few FAQ answers before the oral test, and learn them by heart, otherwise you will be nervous and stammer. Prepare several universal materials to practice repeatedly before the exam. If you don't have a partner, you should talk to yourself. At the same time, you must control the steady speech speed and rhythm. The materials should be simple and clear, to the point, and express your thoughts clearly while expressing yourself normally.

5. Recite high-frequency words. The vocabulary requirement of IELTS test is very high. For senior high school students, it is impossible to recite all the words in the vocabulary book, so it is very helpful for me to recite the high-frequency vocabulary of IELTS.
