Baishan Vocational and Technical School was founded in 1980. It was formed by the merger of baishan city Experimental Vocational High School, baishan city Central Technical School, baishan city Industrial School and baishan city Architectural Vocational School. In June 2003, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education as the only national key secondary vocational school in baishan city and the leading vocational school in baishan city.

The school covers an area of 30,000 square meters, with a building area of 1.8 million square meters. There are 220 faculty members, 22 students17 students, and 50 classes. The school offers four majors 14: computer application, animation design, kindergarten teachers, fashion design and technology, tourism management, mechatronics, numerical control technology, electronic technology, electromechanical technology application, marketing, industrial and civil architecture, road and bridge engineering and comprehensive high school. The school adheres to the school-running system of combining academic education with short-term training. Every year, 700 junior and intermediate practical technical talents are trained for the economic and social development of Baishan, and thousands of employees of enterprises and institutions, laid-off workers and rural laborers are trained.
