Foshan and Guangzhou are both subordinate to Guangdong Province, and they are both prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province. Foshan is a prefecture-level city and megacity under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province. Foshan culture

Cantonese is mainly spoken in Foshan, and Hakka is spoken in some areas. Hakka dialect is only spoken in Sanshui, Gaoming and Nanhai. Hakka dialect is developed on the basis of Zhongzhou ancient saying, and it is the product of various ethnic groups and integration of language. In the process of development, it absorbed some elements of local minority languages. Mainly distributed in eastern Guangdong, western Fujian and southern Jiangxi, Hakka dialect was formed in the late Northern Song Dynasty.

Foshan is a famous cultural city with a long history. It is the core area of Guangfu culture, and Lingnan culture is full of charm. The autumn colors in Foshan can be divided into two categories: autumn handicrafts and performing arts. Because Foshan folklore calls a play a set of plays, Shiwan residents call it a "local set".
