What is the electrician's eto certificate?
The electrician's eto certificate is a maritime electronic certificate.

Certificates required for electrician: professional training certificate, electrician training certificate issued by Maritime Safety Administration, and junior college diploma in maritime correspondence. The most important one is the training certificate for electrical engineers issued by the Maritime Safety Administration.

According to the latest regulations of the maritime department, starting from 20 16, all C-1(above 3000 kw) ships must be equipped with electrical engineers. Therefore, since 20 12, all major maritime colleges and universities have set up training courses for marine engineers and electricians recognized by the maritime department. After passing the training and examination, the Maritime Safety Administration will issue relevant certificates to electrical engineers.

In terms of specific examinations, you need to take theoretical examinations in five subjects: ship electrical (electrical engineer), ship engine room automation, electronic information technology and navigation equipment, ship management (electrical engineer) and ship electrical English (electrical engineer).

Ship electrician is different from ship electrician. Ship electrician is the senior crew member responsible for the maintenance and management of ship electrical equipment. Manila Amendment to STCW Convention (International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) added a new post to the existing ship post for the first time. The establishment of this post is an important step for IMO (International Maritime Organization) to fully realize the great influence of new technologies, including IT technology, on navigation technology and implement electronic navigation strategic planning on a global scale. Manila Amendment to STCW Convention sets corresponding competency standards for electrical engineers.
