The Capital Institute of Physical Education is located in Haidian University Park in Beijing, adjacent to Zhongguancun Science Park in the west and the famous "Jimen Yanshu" scenic spot in the east, with a very advantageous geographical position.
Construction of Capital Institute of Physical Education
The college has headquarters campus, North campus, Fenghuangling campus and competitive sports campus. There are large-scale sports facilities such as library, central laboratory, computer center, student gymnasium, track and field hall, swimming pool, training hall, basketball hall, volleyball hall, tennis hall, gymnastics hall, football field and plastic track and field hall on campus.
Fenghuangling Campus has tens of thousands of square meters of indoor gymnasium and plastic track and field, and all kinds of sports facilities are complete. In addition to ensuring the daily teaching and training tasks, all kinds of stadiums and gymnasiums in the college are open to the public all the year round, actively serving the national fitness exercise, and receiving more than 1 10,000 person-times every year.
At present, the college has initially formed a multi-level, multi-specification and multi-form school-running pattern, and has opened eight undergraduate majors, including physical education, sports training, sports human science, social sports, national traditional sports, public utilities management, news and leisure sports, covering all undergraduate majors in the physical education major setup promulgated by the Ministry of Education. In addition to training doctoral students, master students, undergraduates and technical secondary school students, it also recruits visiting scholars at home and abroad, postgraduate degree courses and foreign students. Our college is also one of the two sports colleges in China that can accept foreign students with government scholarships.
Cooperation and Exchange of Capital Institute of Physical Education
The college is very active in foreign exchange, and has signed cooperation agreements with more than 20 universities or research institutions in the United States, Britain, South Korea, Japan, Finland, Australia, Russia, New Zealand, Belgium, Greece and other countries to exchange students and visiting scholars. In cooperation with the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, our institute has successively established the "Beijing-Sydney Advanced Sports Talent Training Center" and the master's program in sports event management to train high-level sports event management talents for Beijing and the whole country.

The college has gradually formed a high-grade and wide-ranging campus cultural atmosphere, which not only adheres to the main theme, but also is lively. In 2000, it was awarded the honorary title of "Civilized Campus" by Beijing, and in 200 1 it was awarded "Advanced Unit of Spiritual Civilization in Beijing" and "Advanced Unit of Greening" for many years. The whole hospital strives to establish a good school spirit and style of study, and the student associations are very active.
The volunteer team consisting of thousands of students from the Capital Institute of Physical Education has performed well in many large-scale cultural and sports activities, such as the 50th National Day Ceremony, the 2/KLOC-0 World University Games, the final of ITTF Professional Tour, the opening ceremony of the Asian Cup, the 2005 Sudirman Cup Badminton Tournament, the 2005 China Tennis Open and the 2005 China Badminton Masters. It was awarded by the Beijing Municipal Government and won the honor for the Institute. Since August 2006, the Capital Institute of Physical Education has 1200 college students participated in the sports volunteer service of track and field, swimming, basketball, table tennis and other 15 events in the "Good Luck Beijing" series test competition. During the Beijing Olympic Games, nearly 2,000 students from the Institute directly participated in the organization, evaluation, competition and volunteer service of various project teams of the Olympic Organizing Committee.
