Step-by-step method for repairing local depression of automobile
Analysis of the nature of automobile dents The dents of automobile body are generally the deformation of stamping metal parts on the surface of automobile body caused by external forces. This deformation can be divided into two cases according to mechanical properties. (1) Elastic deformation: This deformation will not change the mechanical properties of the metal itself. When the external force disappears, the workpiece itself will recover. (2) Plastic deformation: This deformation destroys the mechanical properties of the metal itself. After the external force disappears, it can't recover on its own, and we need to restore it artificially. Obviously, the deformation of automobile body generally belongs to plastic deformation, otherwise the maintenance personnel do not need to work. In the process of maintenance, through the analysis of examples of depression, grasping the key points, the size and direction of stress is the key to successful maintenance. The degree of depression is different, and the maintenance scheme is also different. If the maintenance fluid (1) is only slightly sunken and the material area has not changed, it can be corrected slowly with a gasket and a suitable metal hammer. (2) If it is deep, the material is stretched. If the area is larger than that before deformation, it can be roughly flattened with iron hammer and shim, and then repaired with filler. Repair tools Prepare all kinds of sheet metal hammers, pads, steel rulers, portable grinders, fillers, curing agents, seasoning trays, rags, dust blowers and car dent repair tools. There are many schemes to repair automobile dents, so choose the second scheme to operate. Step 1: Put the metal sheet on the workbench. Step 2, put the pad iron in the proper position on the back of the concave surface. Step 3: Tap the raised part with a metal hammer. Step 4: When there is no convex surface and it is slightly concave. Step 5: Use a hand-held grinding wheel to install steel balls for polishing, so that the paint film of the metal plate is completely flat. Step 6, polish the surface with water sandpaper. Step 7: Clean the surface thoroughly with a cleaning tool, such as a dust gun. Step 8, air drying or drying. Step 9: the filler and the curing agent are mixed according to a certain proportion. Step 10: Fill the filler into the depression and press it hard with a scraper, just above the surface of the plate, but not higher or lower than the surface of this piece. Step 11: Before the filler is completely dried, make multi-directional preliminary repair with steel ruler or blade. Step 12: dry and wait for the filler to dry. Step 13: polish by hand to make it close to the original curved surface of the plate. Step 14: paint mixing and spraying. Analyze the maintenance results, check the test results, compare the repaired dents with steel ruler, and investigate the problems reflected, so as to improve the next maintenance and accumulate successful experience.
