I worked in the IT industry for more than ten years, and then came out to teach guitar for several years. Both mental paths have been experienced (or blood path? Of course, let me make a subjective (because it is still my opinion) comparison ... the stress index of guitar teaching.
Judging from the stress index of work, whether an engineer or a guitar teacher, I must say with my conscience that the life of a guitar teacher is actually very cool! It's not just great! In fact, it is very cool! I am serious! Compared with the hot water in the technology industry, the life of a guitar teacher is really comfortable! In the daily life of guitar teachers, there is almost no pressure from customers. So what teachers usually have to face is the economic pressure of insufficient income, hahaha.
Students coming to your class will not tell you, "According to our contract, if I don't play a song fluently this month, you must pay a fine of $65,438+000 every day from next month 1! Imagine the feeling of a fine being deducted from your account, without feeling the pressure of a stomachache. Imagine doing a job you don't like and paying off your debts in ten years.
Of course ~ practice is the responsibility of students, not teachers. Of course you can say that! However, when I worked as an engineer to solve bugs abroad earlier, the customers themselves made mistakes. It's not like I didn't cause it, okay?
I am a person who likes eating very much. Look at my stomach! Absolutely not small. In the past, when doing business, I was often so stressed that I couldn't eat or sleep. I love eating so much, and the pressure is too great to eat, so you will know how miserable life is! When I became a guitar teacher, I never couldn't eat because I was worried about which student couldn't learn. You don't have to eat and sleep because of work. It's really cozy! If you sleep well all the time, you won't feel so comfortable. )
However, ladies and gentlemen, although the life of a guitar teacher is comfortable, it is not easy to train a guitar teacher. If we respect this industry, don't learn a few chords, play a few songs and come out to teach the piano … it will take at least eight or ten years to understand the core concepts in this field. Until now, I still believe that it is really not easy to teach guitar well!
Otherwise, ask the sophomore to teach the freshman. Why bother? Are college graduates with teaching training qualified to teach first-year students?
