Guangxi University of Finance and Economics was established in 2004 by the merger of the former Guangxi Finance College and Guangxi Business School. It is the only independent undergraduate college of finance and economics in Guangxi, and it is also a key construction university of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In 20 12, it became the "China-ASEAN Financial Talents Training Center" awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education; 20 13 became the project construction unit of Guangxi universities; 20 1 1 was recognized as the first batch of "collaborative innovation centers" in Guangxi universities. In 20 16, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as an application-oriented undergraduate university, and the "Economic and Management Experimental Teaching Center" was approved as a national experimental teaching demonstration center. In 20 17, it became the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education.
