The Bilingual School affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University is a private school founded by Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai Yangpu District Government and Shanghai Yangpu District Education Bureau in close cooperation. It is the first batch of bilingual teaching experimental schools recognized by Shanghai Education Commission.

The purpose of running a school is to adhere to the socialist direction of running a school, implement the national education policy, and build the school into an open and international foreign language school with the support of colleges and universities, so as to cultivate high-quality students with outstanding foreign languages, leading subjects and all-round development.

The teaching staff of the school consists of outstanding teachers and backbone teachers who have been engaged in junior high school education for a long time. They have rich teaching experience, outstanding foreign language ability, strong sense of innovation, low average age and great room for sustainable development. In addition, the school has hired a group of senior subject-level teachers and foreign language teaching experts and professors to guide our teaching work for a long time.

This school has complete teaching facilities. At present, it has laboratories, multifunctional classrooms, advanced audio-visual classrooms, electronic reading rooms, computer rooms and other auxiliary classrooms, as well as indoor gymnasiums, student canteens, plastic runways and basketball courts. It also has advanced internet network and closed-circuit television system.

In September, 2006, our school will move to a new modern campus covering an area of 48 mu. By then, the school will integrate kindergarten, primary school, junior high school and senior high school (now only primary school and junior high school) and become the most modern and open international school in Yangpu District.

The Bilingual School affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University is a private school founded by 200 1 in cooperation with Shanghai International Studies University. The new campus was completed on September 1 2006. The completion of the new campus is a new bright spot for our region to build a knowledge Yangpu and a high-quality education gathering area, and it is also an experimental field for diversified education. In 2004, it was named as the first batch of bilingual experimental schools by Shanghai Education Commission. During this period, there were frequent international exchanges. We have successively established sister schools with Bernard Middle School in Texas, Sino-American International School in San Francisco, Adelaide Girls' Middle School in Australia and Shanbin Middle School in France, and exchanged teachers and students, which greatly activated students' interest in learning foreign languages and formed a good habit of "learning English" in the actual environment.
