Handan Engineering Senior Technician School is a public school.

Handan Engineering Senior Technical School is a public school and a national key technical school. Handan Engineering Senior Technical School is a full-time secondary vocational school approved by the former Ministry of Coal Industry 1978. Now it is managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hebei Province, and it trains middle and senior skilled personnel for the society.

The school has more than 40 professional positions in eight categories: electromechanical, electronics, machining, computer, electric welding, cooking, civil engineering and mining construction. Starting from 1978, the majors of electromechanical, mechanical maintenance and electrical maintenance were set up; 1994 added the majors of electromechanical integration, electrical electronics and computer; 1999 added the majors of machining, numerical control and electric welding.
