Nanjing Technician College was established in 1952, and is affiliated to Nanjing Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. It is a national key technical school and a key technician college in Jiangsu Province. It is the first batch of national and provincial demonstration bases for training high-skilled personnel and the project construction unit of the national secondary vocational education reform and development demonstration school.

The college has a strong faculty, with 280 faculty members and full-time theoretical and practical instructors 184. More than 90% of teachers have senior professional titles and undergraduate education, and 40% are double-qualified teachers. The college has set up nearly 40 majors such as numerical control technology, mechatronics, applied electronic technology, mold design and manufacturing.

The college has first-class internships and laboratories in modern mold processing, modern welding processing, CNC machine tool processing, intelligent machining center, CNC network programming, electrician and electronics, power electronics, electro-hydraulic, industrial electrical automation, PLC, flexible control, communication electronics, building intelligence, computer multimedia and computer network.
