Sichuan Electric Power Vocational and Technical College (referred to as "Sichuan Electric Power College" for short) was founded in 19 17, and its predecessor was "Sichuan Higher Industrial Vocational School" founded in Chongqing by 19 17. It belongs to Sichuan Electric Power Company of State Grid, and at the same time hangs the brand of Technical Skills Training Center of Sichuan Electric Power Company. The emergency training base of Sichuan Electric Power Company is also included in the management of the college. The college integrates higher vocational education, staff education and training, adult education and professional appraisal. In 2006, it won the "excellent" grade in the evaluation of the talent training level of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education, and in 2008, it was identified as one of the 100 national demonstration higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.
The college has four campuses: Wenjiang Campus, Caotang Campus, Luojiannian Campus and Qingfengling Staff Power Plant. The campus covers an area of 1 10,000 mu, with total fixed assets of 426,543.8+0,000 yuan and construction area of 238,000 square meters. There are more than 5000 full-time college students. Since its establishment, the College has trained more than 40,000 professional and technical talents for the country, and has been commended and named as "National Advanced Vocational and Technical Education Unit", "Demonstration School of the Ministry of Electric Power", "Civilized Unit of State Grid Corporation" and "Best Civilized Unit in Sichuan Province" by governments and competent departments at all levels.
