Cerebral palsy symptoms
Cerebral palsy (CP) refers to the central movement disorder and posture abnormality caused by non-progressive brain injury and developmental defects in the early stage of brain development from before death to one month after birth.

Cerebral palsy is generally caused by many factors that affect the development of nerve center before and during pregnancy. Cerebral palsy is often accompanied by epilepsy, mental retardation, insensitive, abnormal behavior, strange personality, backward language and other symptoms. The most obvious feature is the backward development of sports.

If you think your baby has the above symptoms, you must be vigilant, find it early and treat it early. ......

How to find children with cerebral palsy early?

As parents, we should first understand the normal growth and development law of children in different periods, and often test their sports ability at home to understand what symptoms children with cerebral palsy have. In this way, when children have problems, they can be found and treated at the first time.

1, neonatal period

Neonatal period refers to babies born within 28 days. Children with cerebral palsy generally have no obvious manifestations in the neonatal period and are not easy to be found. But if parents pay attention to observation, some signs can still be found early.

Normal neonatal capacity:

* When you are awake, you can look at objects and follow the moving direction of objects, especially brightly colored objects.

* Sensitive to light, close your eyes when stimulated by strong light. Good hearing. If you whisper in your ear, you will turn your head to the direction of sound, and sometimes you will use your eyes to find the sound source.

* Very sensitive sense of touch, especially eyes, mouth, palms, soles of feet and other parts. There will be a reaction when touched, and there will be actions such as blinking, opening your mouth and shrinking.

* Although most movements are unconscious and uncoordinated, they are very active. When a full-moon newborn is picked up, its head can remain upright for a short time. If you put your finger or toy in the palm of your hand, you will hold it tightly and it is not easy to let go.

* Ability to interact with the environment and adults after birth, talk or smile with adults, and call their attention by crying.

Neonatal manifestations of cerebral palsy:

* Children with cerebral palsy obviously lack the above behavioral ability, as if they are not interested in everything around them, with poor reactivity, significantly reduced movements, and even poor sucking ability, and often choke on milk.

* If you see a doctor, you will find some congenital reflexes, such as root reflexes, grip reflexes and Moro reflexes, weakened or not at all.

Intimate little reminder:

Parents can often test their baby's behavior ability to see whether its reaction ability, sports ability and other aspects are normal, and consult a doctor as soon as possible when finding abnormalities.

2, infancy

Babies are children from 28 days to 1 year. Generally, in infancy, with the acceleration of children's growth and development, many symptoms of cerebral palsy will be manifested one after another. First of all, it is easy to find that sports are backward, and at the same time there will be some abnormal postures or movements, and some children will be mentally retarded. There is such a jingle among the people, which is called "two lifts, four turns, six meetings, seven rolls and eight crawls", which is a rough summary of the development law of sports behavior in infancy.

Normal infant ability:

* 1-2 months old, I will kick things on my back, try to keep my head upright when I pick them up, and I will unconsciously grab them for a while when I hold toys.

* 3-4 months, you can look up on your stomach, support your upper body with your elbows, turn your head and turn over at will. When you stand up, your legs can support your body.

* 5-6 months, the supine position will often raise the head and legs, can turn over freely, and there are signs of wanting to climb when prone. You can stand by for a while. When you stand upright, your lower limbs can carry loads. When you are happy, you will jump up and down and grab what you want.

* At 7-8 months, support your chest and abdomen with your hands so that your upper body can leave the bed. I can spin my body in place and climb forward with my upper limbs. You can sit for a long time independently, lie down from your seat, stand on the railing and sit down from your standing position.

* 9- 10 months, able to climb back and forth flexibly, able to stand firmly on the railing of the bed, able to walk with a cart, and able to take things with thumb and forefinger.

* 1 1- 12 months, able to stand and walk independently, bend down to pick up things on the ground, pick up small items such as coins and peanuts with your hands, and pass the toys in your hands to others.

The manifestations of infants with cerebral palsy:

* The motor development of infants with cerebral palsy is backward, and they can't reach the ability of the above-mentioned children of corresponding months.

* Abnormal muscle tension and posture, such as difficulty in thigh abduction, knee flexion, difficulty in leg extension and adduction when standing upright, scissor-like cross of legs, elbow and wrist flexion of upper limbs, frequent hand clenching and thumb adduction.

* Less exercise. Five months later, I still can't reach out and grab what I like, or I always grab it with one hand.

* Abnormal reflex occurs, that is, part of the original reflex delay disappears, while the normal protective reflex weakens or does not exist, and some pathological reflex may occur.

Intimate little reminder:

Always test your child's behavior ability. Infantile period is the period when children have the fastest growth and development, the fastest brain development and the strongest compensatory ability. If abnormalities are found as early as possible during this period, early training and treatment can maximize the potential of the brain and promote the compensatory recovery of brain tissue.

3. Early childhood

Early childhood refers to 1-3 years old children. Children in this period have a lot of behavioral abilities, and it is easy to be found if there are abnormalities. Therefore, the symptoms of cerebral palsy in children are obvious in early childhood, and it is easy to make a diagnosis.

The ability of normal children:

* 1 year-old, can walk, has flexible fingers, can hold small things with thumb and forefinger, and can speak simple words.

* 1 1/2 years old, you can squat down to play, throw the ball, climb the steps, jump on the ground, eat by yourself and drink water from a cup.

* When I was 2 years old, I could jump with my feet, run steadily and move my hands accurately. I can complete simple actions and express my wishes in simple sentences.

* At the age of 3, he can run and jump, ride a tricycle, eat and dress by himself, and sing and sing.

The manifestations of children with cerebral palsy:

* Limb movement disorder, inability to walk or abnormal walking posture, such as tiptoe landing, scissors gait, limping, inability to squat, etc. , hand movements are not flexible, you can't hold things with one hand or always hold things with one hand;

* Mental retardation, backward language development or language barrier, or abnormal vision and hearing loss.

* Abnormal cognition and behavior, showing hyperactivity or loneliness and fragility.

* Some children with cerebral palsy have limb peristalsis, ataxia, hypotonia, rigidity and tremor.

Intimate little reminder:

It is not too early to find children with cerebral palsy in early childhood. Parents must not delay, the most important thing is to pay close attention to treatment and training. The earlier treatment and training, the better recovery.
