The Development Course of Wuxi China Museum of National Industry and Commerce
The preparatory work started in 2005 and was basically completed on February 5, 2007, and it was open to the public. Wuxi Mao Xin Flour Factory was founded in the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1900). It is one of the earliest national industrial and commercial enterprises in China, founded by famous national industrialists Rong and Rong Desheng in China. It is the epitome of the birthplace of national industry and commerce and a typical specimen of modern national industry in China. It has experienced a tortuous road from establishment, prosperity, destruction, reconstruction to rebirth after liberation, and witnessed the changes of China's national industry and commerce in the past century. On this basis, Wuxi Museum of Chinese National Industry and Commerce has unique historical significance and value, which will play a positive role in studying the development history of China's national industry and commerce, protecting and preserving modern historical relics, educating the broad masses of people in patriotism, improving Wuxi's urban cultural taste, creating a cultural Wuxi and creating a historical and cultural city. The total investment budget for construction is 654.38+600 million yuan, including 33.5 million yuan for resettlement of Mao Xin Flour Mill, 3.03 million yuan for decoration project and 96.5438+200,000 yuan for exhibition project.
