Product use (additives), appearance characteristics, weight molding materials and specific brand appearance requirements, secondary processing (electroplating, painting and other gate restricted area strength requirements (wire clamping position), allowable direction and tolerance of key dimension control deformation.
Analyze the characteristics of the mold;
Mold parting surface, mold structure (slider, inclined top, insert) gate number, gate position, mold water delivery.
Analysis of injection molding machines;
Second-hand machines and machine parameters (tonnage, maximum pressure, maximum stroke and other parameters).
Analyze the factors that may affect the analysis:
Grid type, aspect ratio, special product angle effect, fiber orientation of fiber-containing materials. Expected time to complete the analysis and expected time to complete the analysis.
2. Model preparation
Product parts:
This is the basis of analysis, and it must be a 3D file, preferably a solid part, not a curve part such as IGS.
Product ranking:
CAD ranking or 3D documents, among which 3D documents are preferably physical documents such as STP and X_T, so as not to be opened due to version reasons.
Runner and gluing method: If there is no specific plan, it needs to be discussed before analysis to avoid unnecessary workload. (Export files for the next process (pre-model processing), try to output entity documents, such as X_T and STP, and IGS and STL documents are not recommended; It is necessary to ensure that the coordinates are in the center of the product or mold, the Z direction is the mold opening direction, and the file coordinates of the same project exported every time must be in the same position.
3. Model pretreatment
Open CAD Doctor, File → Import. Here, you can only choose IGS file or file → import from AMDL, which can be STP entity document (suggestion) b, click Stich) for preprocessing → try. If the number of free edges is still large, you can try to expand the tolerance. Please note that the tolerance cannot be greater than 0.0254 mm, and then click Repair.
