20 12 August, China Science and Technology Museum Development Foundation implemented the project of "Science and Technology Museum for Rural Middle School Students"-strengthening the popularization of science among rural middle school students and surrounding residents. By the end of 20 16, 293 rural middle school science and technology museums had been established in 29 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps). The number of direct beneficiaries reached 1.37 million or more.
