The reason why SAP can still accrue depreciation after the write-off of fixed assets is that when the SAP system handles the write-off of fixed assets, it only deletes the record of the fixed assets from the system and does not immediately stop the depreciation accrual. Depreciation that has been accrued will continue to be calculated until the expected service life of fixed assets ends.
