The primary school affiliated to Hefei Normal University was founded in 1937, formerly Chongjing Primary School, and was founded by the church in 1937. After liberation, it was renamed Chongjin Primary School, Desheng Street Primary School, Hefei No.47 Middle School and Hefei Normal School. In the course of 70 years of running a school, the name and system of running a school have changed several times. In 2000, Hefei Normal School was established on the basis of the original Hefei Normal School. In the autumn of 2007, the school moved to Binhu New District and resumed as Hefei Normal School.
