Jinan, referred to as Quancheng for short, is the capital of Shandong Province, a sub-provincial city, a central city and a mega-city in the southern wing of the Bohai Rim region. The giant Buddha in the Sui Dynasty is located in the Giant Buddha Village in Licheng District, which was built in the Sui Dynasty and is the largest giant Buddha in Shandong.
