I. University of Helsinki
Founded in 1640, Helsinki University is the first university in Finland and one of the best universities in Finland. At present, there are 1 1 colleges with 38,000 students, 64% of whom are women. The number of people who get degrees every year is 4300, of which 400 get doctorates. In particular, the Confucius Institute, which was established in cooperation with China Renmin University, started operation in September 2007, aiming at promoting China culture.
At the same time, Helsinki Summer School is held in Helsinki University every year for a three-week academic activity. It is held by 9 universities in Helsinki every August. Every year, students from more than 60 countries participate in the experience, including high-quality academic and a series of cultural and social activities. The purpose of English teaching is to stimulate thinking and intellectual development in an open and diverse environment. This summer, 346 college students from 64 countries participated in Helsinki Summer School, including 39 students from China, and they also received corresponding credits recognized by universities in China.
