Weifang College is a full-time comprehensive undergraduate college in Shandong Province approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the construction unit of a famous school with the characteristics of cultivating applied talents in Shandong Province, and the master's degree in Shandong Province is awarded to an A-level unit.

It is one of the first provincial teacher education bases, the national special education teacher training base, the Weifang regional network center of China Education and Research Network (CERNET), the executive director unit of the National Education Informatization Committee, and the first demonstration unit of education informatization in Shandong Province.

Weifang University 195 1 started from Qingdao Normal University, 1960 merged into Changwei Normal University. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Weifang College and Changwei Teachers College merged to form Weifang College.
