Why are there so many vocational examinations in China?
In recent years, the State Council has repeatedly cleaned up and rectified the national vocational qualification certification, and cancelled 434 vocational qualifications in seven batches. At the end of 20 16, the catalogue of professional qualifications reserved after cleaning was released, among which social sports instructors and swimming lifeguards in the sports industry became the officially announced professional qualification certifications of the country. At present, the retained social sports instructors include 47 positions such as fitness, taekwondo, swimming, badminton and skiing.

At present, many practitioners engaged in personal coaching are competing to apply for the national professional qualification certificate of social sports instructors. So what is a social sports instructor and why do you want to apply for the national vocational qualification certificate?

"People's Republic of China (PRC) Vocational Classification Ceremony" defines the occupation of "social sports instructor" as a person who is engaged in skill imparting, sports guidance and organization and management in mass sports activities other than competitive sports, school sports and army sports. According to the National Fitness Regulations, the state implements a professional qualification certificate system for social sports instructors who take sports guidance as their profession, and social sports instructors who take sports guidance as their profession shall obtain professional qualification certificates in accordance with relevant state regulations. At the same time, it is stipulated that those who have not received national vocational qualification training and obtained national vocational qualification certificates shall not be employed within the scope of employment types (occupations) stipulated by the state, and employment agencies and employers shall not introduce or recruit them.

At present, sports bureaus, education bureaus, cultural and sports bureaus and other industry supervision departments in some cities have begun to clean up and rectify sports practitioners who do not have national vocational qualification certificates in the industry, and require employees to have the certificates. Institutions or companies engaged in sports training programs need a certain number of trainers to have this certificate, and those who do not meet the above requirements shall be rectified within a time limit. The industry supervision department only recognizes the national vocational qualification certificate and does not recognize other vocational certificates.

The above situation is the reason behind the recent craze of applying for the national vocational qualification certificate, which has become a necessary industry access certificate for the sports guidance industry.

The above situation is the reason behind the recent craze of applying for the national vocational qualification certificate, which has become a necessary industry access certificate for the sports guidance industry.

However, there is a concept that is easily confused. Not all social sports instructors have national vocational qualification certificates. That's because social sports instructors are divided into two categories: public welfare and professionalism.

What's the difference between them?

The state does not require high sports skills and guidance ability of public welfare social sports instructors, and it is not difficult to obtain social sports instructor certificates (public welfare social sports instructors do not have national vocational qualification certificates), but it also stipulates that public welfare social sports instructors may not provide paid services with charging nature.

For professional social sports instructors, the state has strict requirements on their own skills and guiding ability. It is stipulated that they must pay training fees and appraisal fees, participate in vocational training and pass the examination, and obtain the national vocational qualification certificate before they are allowed to engage in professional services with charging nature in the teaching of corresponding sports.

In other words, only those who hold the certificate of social sports instructor are allowed to carry out fee-based services, and only those who have obtained the national vocational qualification certificate are allowed to carry out fee-based services.

The authority of the national vocational qualification certificate is also reflected in:

1. Authority of Certification Body: It is a certificate issued by the government (issued by the State Sports General Administration and uniformly printed by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security), which has strong authority and legal effect, and is universally used in China and can be exchanged in English.

2. Pay attention to practical work experience and ability: The assessment system is designed according to the basic ability model, which is divided into two parts: theoretical knowledge test and skill operation test, and pays more attention to the evaluation of work ability.

3. Certificates are widely recognized: Since 1992, the Ministry of Labor has carried out the appraisal and certification of national vocational qualification certificates nationwide, and implemented five unified appraisal schemes (unified standards, unified textbooks, unified propositions, unified appraisal and unified certification), which has a strong seriousness and has been widely recognized nationwide, and has become an important basis for employers to hire professionals.
