1 Taobao Village Background

In 2005, because Qingyan Liu was adjacent to Jiangdong Freight Market, the largest freight market in Yiwu, with convenient transportation, some online merchants chose to start businesses here. In the second half of 2009, local online merchants in Qingyan Liu also developed. Today, this village, which used to have only 1486 villagers, has accommodated more than 8,000 people and opened more than 2,000 Taobao shops, with a turnover of more than 2 billion yuan.

【 1 】 Qingyan Liu Ye is also called "the first Taobao village" in China. Backed by Taobao, the annual rental income of Qingyan Six Villages is nearly 100 million yuan. Some landlords have also become Taobao shopkeepers, while others live a leisurely life of rent.

2 Taobao Village scale

Every family has Taobao Village and online shop.

Taobao Village [2] walked into Qingyan Liucun at noon, and there were few people in the empty alley. However, as long as you approach the street buildings, you can immediately discover the mystery of "Taobao Village". "I walked around the village with my ears upright, and my ears were full of the sound of tearing tape when packaging express delivery. Liu, founder of Taobao Village and vice president of Jiangdong Street E-commerce Association in Yiwu, said.

Every household walks down from the entrance on the first floor, and you will find that the entire underground space of Qingyanliu is the source of nearly 2,000 Taobao shops. Scarves, toys, lamps, creative plants ... the best-selling daily necessities you usually see in online shop pictures can be found here.

In the warehouse of online merchant Wu Licai, there are four workers who are responsible for express packaging. The workers quickly repeated the work of tearing tape, sealing and pasting banknotes. On average, 700 express parcels are sent from here every day.

Evening is the busiest time in Qingyan Sixth Village. More than 20 courier companies stationed in the village dispatched at this time and drove to the door of each household to pick up the pieces. Thousands of express parcels were transported to the car one by one by the workers. Some warehouses even set up a temporary "cargo track" along the stairs in the basement, and dragged the express box from the basement to the ground along the track.

Sending away the courier is the beginning of the village's busyness. The reporter visited seven online stores and saw the same scene: several or a dozen online store customers stared at the computer screen intently, and the messages of "ding-dong" and "ding-dong" and the sound of tapping the keyboard came and went.

"Online shopping customers are mainly young office workers. At night, they are free to go shopping after work. We have to be busy greeting business, and the customer service in shifts during the day should also go together. " Online shop customers who are responsible for receiving customers told reporters that 8 pm to 2 am is their busiest time, and the transaction volume at this time accounts for at least 70% of the total.

3 Taobao Village Development

Taobao Village [3] Ada Village in Qingyan, with a population of less than 2,000, runs about 2,000 online stores, attracting seven or eight thousand foreigners to settle in. "Why are there so many online merchants gathered in Qingyan Six Villages? The key is that we have a complete industrial chain. " Liu said:

In 2005, Qingyan Liu, who completed the transformation of the old village, welcomed the first batch of online merchants in the village, relying on Yiwu's largest freight market across the road. During the financial crisis, the villagers simply turned Qingyan Liu into "Yiwu Taobao City". With the supply advantage of "global small commodity distribution center", e-commerce had blossomed everywhere in Yiwu at that time. Hills stand up, and online merchants who are active in virtual space seem to have found an organization. Internet merchants from all over Zhejiang and even Chongqing, Anhui and Liaoning have lived in Qingyanliu.

Zhang Haiyang, an Anhui native, moved his online shop for daily necessities from his hometown to Liucun, Qingyan two years ago. "There is a village that takes the lead in saying that the national express fee is the cheapest and needs to be sent. There are more than 20 courier companies to choose from. Opening an online shop requires page art, and there are professional web design companies in the village. The online shop that just started, the volume of goods is not large, and the bosses are all neighbors. They ride tricycles to Yiwu market to purchase goods, and the price can be more favorable. " Zhang Haiyang said that the move was right, and it was "really convenient" to open an online shop in the village.

The online merchants developed in the village have gradually changed from retail to wholesale. It is common for warehouses to move four or five times a year, and some even have to move to 10000 square meters industrial park warehouses. In order to ensure that small-scale online stores can find goods without leaving the village, at the beginning of this year, Liu proposed to establish online commodity supermarkets, and there are already more than a dozen in the village.

Through the online commodity supermarket, online merchants can see thousands of kinds of goods without leaving the village, take away the data packets containing commodity descriptions and pictures and hang them online, and then come to the supermarket to pick up the goods after receiving the customer's order, without worrying about the inventory problem.

The present situation of "Taobao Village" has basically reached the original idea of the founder-as long as you rent a house and bring a computer, you can start doing business. From online store registration to purchase and delivery, including experience transfer, it can be solved in the village.
