Secondary technical schools belong to secondary education and train secondary technical workers. It is equivalent to high school in level, but its education is secondary technology. High-tech belongs to higher vocational education, which trains high-tech workers, including technical colleges, technician colleges and senior technical schools. They are at the same level as college students, but they have higher academic qualifications. So it doesn't belong to secondary school or junior college.
Linzhi Senior Technical School is the first and only public senior technical school in Tibet. Since the school started in June, 2020, the school has held 43 vocational skills training courses for Cantonese cuisine masters, southern Guangdong housekeeping, rural e-commerce, highway maintenance, traffic emergency rescue, etc., and trained 2,346 students, which has trained a group of "plateau craftsmen" for the high-quality economic and social development in Tibet. On the occasion of the second anniversary of the founding of the school, it was upgraded to a senior technical school with the approval of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Xizang Autonomous Region, achieving a leap in the training level of skilled personnel.
