Kashgar Health School is the earliest and largest general secondary health school integrating teaching, medical treatment and scientific research in southern Xinjiang. It has been identified by the education department as the adult teaching point of Xinjiang Medical University and the computer examination center for graduates in Kashgar. The identification of the post training base for general practitioners in the autonomous region is under way.

The opening of undergraduate course in 2005 created conditions for the cultivation of medical talents and the renewal of basic medical knowledge in Kashgar. Since the establishment of Kashgar Health School 49 years ago, it has trained more than 1 10,000 college graduates, which has made due contributions to the talent training of basic medical units in southern Xinjiang.
