At the beginning of the new millennium, Yongchun County has won a new reputation after the "Hometown of Citrus in China" and was officially named "Hometown of Paper Weaving and Painting in China" by the Ministry of Culture. Yongchun paper painting is a unique traditional Han folk handicraft in Yongchun County, the hometown of overseas Chinese in southern Fujian. Among the hundreds of flowers of arts and crafts in China, it is called the four great weavers in China together with Hangzhou silk book, Suzhou silk painting and Sichuan bamboo curtain painting.

1997 In order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Hong Kong's centennial return and the founding of the army, Zhou Wen Hu Yi's family started the creation of "Hundred-meter Hundred Tigers Paper Painting". At that time, a businessman came here and offered Zhou 65,438+500,000 yuan to buy the painting. However, after consideration, Zhou Wen Hu Yi's family resolutely donated this painting to the China Military Museum, which caused a great sensation during the exhibition.

In 2009, Zhou and Li Shiqiu, paper weavers of Yiting in Yongchun, combined traditional skills with modern science and technology for three years, and finally created the 100-meter Great Wall made of contemporary paper, which was selected as the second national treasure of China with a guaranteed amount of 50 million yuan. This work has also won the "Guinness Best in the World" before.
