Zhang Daozhen, male, 1926, from Shashi, Hubei. Originally from Suzhou. During War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's time, he studied in Chongqing Nankai Middle School and was admitted to Central University to study foreign languages in his sophomore year. 1946 returned to Nanjing with the school. After graduation, he was admitted to the American Embassy as an interpreter, and studied under the pro-democracy professor Xu (later director central weather bureau). Half a year later, he won a scholarship from Washington University in the United States, that is, he went to the United States to study English literature. After finishing his master's course, he transferred to Harvard University to study comparative literature. After the liberation of the motherland, he returned to work in the winter of 1950 in response to Premier Zhou's call. He was invited to attend the National Day ceremony, which was later presided over by the Prime Minister. Finally, I was assigned to work in Beijing Foreign Studies University.
