If you don't want to do it, you should analyze what causes you not to do it.
Generally speaking, there are two reasons for not wanting to do it.
For example, first of all, employees have inner resistance to 5S.
Employees may think, "Isn't 5S just a simple cleaning and labeling? What's special about it? It's all these formal things, and it doesn't make any sense at all "or" I'm tired enough to work every day, and I have to add these extra workloads ". The main reason for this kind of psychological activity is that the real meaning of S management is not well explained to employees in early employee training. Employees only know what to do on the surface, which is easy to mislead employees and make them think that doing 5S is doing unnecessary things. If so, my suggestion is to give employees another professional 5S training to let them know what the real meaning of 5S is and what benefits it can bring them.
The second situation is that there is no good incentive mechanism.
Most people work for profit. If there is no interest, no one wants to do the work, no matter how easy it is. As mentioned above, I work so hard every day, and I have to increase my workload and my salary has not increased. Then why should I do it? Of course, the establishment of incentive mechanism is not only a way to raise wages, but also can take many forms, such as selecting 5S outstanding employees every month, and outstanding employees can get some benefits or prizes every month. Or an annual assessment, excellent employees or departments can get better year-end benefits or bonuses every year. There are many methods, and how to use them depends on the actual situation of the enterprise.
If it is not done well, it is necessary to strengthen professional knowledge training. Especially the management, must take the lead. In many enterprises, when doing 5S, senior leaders don't pay attention to it, but just push the next instruction to the following employees, who don't know enough about it. How can the effect be good? Therefore, the management must take the lead and personally go to the scene to guide. Regular inspection is also needed. You know, employees only do things that leaders inspect. Moreover, during the inspection, the inspection standards should be detailed, and it is best to have reference photos. The more detailed the standards, the more employees know what to do.
It's a little long I hope these are helpful to you. If there is anything unclear, you can ask questions again.
