The unnamed lake, the largest artificial lake in Peking University campus, is located in the north-central part of the campus. The shape is u-shaped. There is a stone fish sculpture in Hunan, and there is an island in the middle of the lake, which is connected with the north bank by a bridge. There is a stone boat at the southern end of the central island of the lake. There are Bell Tower, Linhuxuan, Flower Bed and edgar snow on the lakeside, and Boya Tower on the east coast. It is one of the landmark landscapes of Peking University.
2. Boyata
In architecture, Peking University is famous for a map of Baota Lake, in which the pagoda refers to Boya Pagoda, which is located next to the unnamed lake in Peking University. The "Tower" in the "One Tower and One Lake Map", the essence of Yanyuan architecture-Boya Tower, is an architectural masterpiece with highly unified use function, artistic modeling and environment coordination. 3. Spoon Garden
Yuan Shaoyuan Garden was built by the famous painter Mi (1570- 163 1) in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It is the most famous of the "Three Gardens of Michaelis". Many poets in the Ming Dynasty sang poems. Hongya Garden was built in the former site of Yuan Shao in the early Qing Dynasty, and Kangxi inscribed it. During the Qianlong period, British minister Margaret was stationed here when she met the Qing emperor.
Later, it was Zheng Qinwang Building, which was renamed Jixian Hospital during Jiaqing period. When the Qing emperor was in Yuanmingyuan, this was the place where ministers returned food. 1860, Jixian Academy and Yuanmingyuan were burned by British and French imperialism.

The unnamed lake used to be supplied with water by Wanquan River. The area around Weiming Lake belonged to Shuchun Garden in Qing Dynasty, and Qianlong gave it to his favorite small Shenyang. In this building, there are 64 towers, 357 verandas, pavilions and thousands of rooms, which are extremely luxurious. After Shenyang was later raided, Shu Chunyuan changed hands several times.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was an artificial lake in Shuchunyuan, a small Shenyang garden affiliated to Yuanmingyuan. The stone boat was built according to the stone boat in the Summer Palace. Later, the superstructure was burned down, leaving only a stone base.
In the 1920s, it became a part of yenching university, and the school asked designer henry killam murphy to plan the campus layout. This lake was named the unnamed lake by Qian Mu.
1952, yenching university was revoked by the administration, and Peking University moved from the city center to the former site of yenching university. Since then, the unnamed lake has become a part of the campus of Peking University.
In 200 1 year, the "Weiming Lake Yanyuan Building" was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Since then, students have called the Weiming Lake, Boyata and the library "a map of the lake with one tower".
