The Environmental Education Center of Banna Botanical Garden and the Comprehensive Insurance Center jointly held a seminar on writing advanced scientific papers.

38 students from China Agricultural University, Fudan University, Guizhou University, Institute of Zoology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Southwest Forestry University, Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xinjiang Agricultural University, Zhejiang Academy of Forestry, Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University and Banna Botanical Garden 10 participated in this training. The training course is taught online by Professor Gao, a researcher at the Comprehensive Protection Center of Banna Botanical Garden.

Scientific papers are one of the important ways to display scientific research achievements and transmit scientific information. How to write scientific papers well is a topic of great concern to scientific and technological workers, especially young scientific and technological workers and students. The course of this seminar covers the whole process of writing scientific papers, from chapter structure, wording and sentence making, to paper submission and revision of evaluation opinions. Teach students the steps and methods of publishing scientific papers in international academic journals, enrich and improve students' writing knowledge and skills of scientific papers.

In addition, the tutor also gave one-on-one writing guidance to students' papers and put forward suggestions for improvement.

Previous seminars on writing advanced scientific papers were all held under the line of Banna Botanical Garden. This year, due to the epidemic situation, we adopted the network teaching mode. From the feedback of teachers and students, online teaching is effective, time allocation and teacher-student interaction are reasonable, and it can be used as one of the main ways to carry out training courses. In the future, the environmental education center will pay more attention to the online teaching function and develop more online courses in order to provide better services for people with relevant training needs.
