Jinyuan promoted research-based learning, and was designated by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission as one of the three schools in Shanghai to introduce research-based learning experience to the whole country and train key teachers from June 5438 to October 2000/KLOC-0, and became one of the six schools undertaking the research-based learning project of the Ministry of Education. Five basic subjects, such as mathematics, foreign languages, physics, chemistry and information technology, are subject to elective options and physical education.
