The college started full-time teaching on 1996. Since its establishment, the College has held a series of large-scale cultural activities such as "Nine Trees Digital Music Festival", "Beijing Modern Pop Music Festival" and "Beijing International Drummer Festival".

The college covers an area of 530 mu, with a total construction area of 65,000 square meters, and has an international practice and training base. Including 4000 square meters studio, 350 international standard piano rooms, 16 ensemble room, 32 dance training halls, 6 video workstations, 8 audio workstations, 16 MIDI studio, as well as black box and film and television music studios.
