Beijing Jinsong Vocational High School, founded in 1983, is the first independent vocational school in Beijing with 2 100 students. Nine majors are offered, including cooking (Chinese food), cooking (western food), beauty salon and image design, international hotel management, film and television art, tourism service and management (foreign language guide), music, piano tuning and computer network technology.

Jinsong Vocational High School (1984) was approved by the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government and Chaoyang District Education Committee as an open unit. In 2000, the school took the lead in introducing the advanced European concept of running a school, and introduced the vocational education courses of Bournemouth College in England to China.
