Zhejiang International Studies University's primary education major was successfully approved as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site.

Relying on the Zhejiang Teacher Training Center and the national training base of the Ministry of Education (the only training base in Zhejiang Province that undertakes decimal and Xiaoying training), the primary education major has established the "Zhejiang Foreign Language School Alliance" and established an international teacher development school, which has formed the training characteristics of "pre-post joint training-targeted employment of talents-accurate post training".

Based on the needs of basic education reform, the major is mainly oriented to international primary schools inside and outside the province, and trains high-quality primary school teachers who love children, have a solid foundation in normal education, have feelings for home and country, have an international vision and have the ability of sustainable development.

Professional accumulation is profound. The major of primary education was established in 1987. Based on the school's teacher education history of more than 60 years, relying on the key discipline "Curriculum and Teaching Theory" and the key construction base project of teacher training in Zhejiang Province in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, this major became a characteristic major in the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan of Zhejiang Province in 20 17, and was approved as a provincial-level first-class major in 20 19, and is now approved as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site.

Significant professional characteristics

Based on the resource advantages of foreign language colleges and the history of teacher education cooperation between China and Germany for more than 30 years, the German Research Center (the only one in the province) was approved by the Ministry of Education, and China and Germany jointly held five "International Excellent Teacher Training and Innovation Experimental Classes".

Seven English-Chinese bilingual experimental classes of "1+1+2" were jointly held with the University of Wisconsin in the United States, and the "United Nations Regional Professional Center for Sustainable Development Education (Hangzhou)" was undertaken to provide an international platform for students to participate in global education governance.
