In the past three years, the Foreign Languages Department has successively undertaken three national and municipal training programs, namely, the short-term training course for rural English teachers in the central and western regions of Hunan Province, the full-time training course for rural English teachers in the central and western regions of Hunan Province, and the advanced training course for senior English teachers in Huaihua City, with a total training of more than 800 people. The training program was a complete success, welcomed by students and highly praised by provincial and municipal education departments.

In addition, members of this discipline have also translated a large number of project materials, materials and documents for the people's governments, party and government organs, enterprises and institutions in Huaihua, which have made beneficial contributions to the local economic and social development and achieved good social effects. Zhijiang County People's Government established the translation research and practice base of Zhijiang International Peace Culture Festival in the Foreign Languages Department of Huaihua University. Training objectives: to cultivate all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique, with strong creativity and competitiveness, comprehensive and solid professional and cultural knowledge, be able to use English accurately, fluently and appropriately, have the ability to initially use a second foreign language and certain scientific research ability, master scientific educational methods and modern educational means, have certain teaching and word processing skills and solid basic skills of teachers, and are qualified teachers suitable for primary teaching.

Employment destination: graduates can engage in English teaching and education management in primary and secondary schools, and English translation in enterprises and institutions. Training objectives: To train middle and senior translators with all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique, with solid English language foundation, strong language communication ability and cross-cultural communication ability, solid and comprehensive professional knowledge and relatively skilled professional skills, able to interpret and translate in foreign affairs, literature, economy and trade, tourism, science and technology, and have the ability to initially use a second foreign language and certain scientific research ability, and be proficient in using English and Chinese in foreign affairs and diplomacy.

Employment destination: graduates are suitable for international trade business and translation work in enterprises and foreign trade departments. Training goal: Business English has always been committed to training applied talents with "one skill plus comprehensive quality". This direction aims to cultivate intermediate applied foreign trade English professionals who are well-developed morally, intellectually and physically, proficient in foreign trade knowledge and foreign trade English knowledge, have the ability to comprehensively use language knowledge and analyze, solve and deal with various foreign trade practices, and are competent for foreign trade work in foreign capital, joint ventures, industrial and mining enterprises and foreign-related enterprises and institutions.

Employment orientation: Graduates mainly work in foreign-related economic departments, trade departments of various industries, large enterprises, schools and scientific research institutions with self-export tasks.
