No matter what the job title is, the work division of the main engine factory is similar, which is divided into styling design, research and development, production, sales, after-sales, procurement and functional positions. Among them: of course, R&D position is the best salary, and it is also difficult to apply; Sales positions travel a lot and need to bear certain performance indicators; Production posts may need to work at night, and the working environment is relatively poor; Purchasing positions may be known to you; Functional position, strong substitutability. 1, let's talk about the R&D Post first.

Generally speaking, there are these departments: chassis department, body department, electronic and electrical department, vehicle integration department, powertrain business group, new energy business group, testing department, active safety department, interior and exterior decoration department, forward-looking technology research department, automatic driving department, intelligent networking department, product planning department, R&D quality assurance department, R&D purchasing department and so on.

The bold department above is my personal optimistic direction, and all the positions related to the controller in the car involve software and hardware. From the perspective of development, software-related jobs are of course superior to hardware.

A car is assembled from thousands of parts, and every car factory has a huge position called DRE, who is responsible for the whole chain of every part from research and development to manufacturing to after-sales. People who have studied automobile structure must know that a car consists of four parts: engine (motor), chassis, body and electrical appliances. Then the position of R&D can be divided accordingly.

Powertrain is a very complicated and huge system engineering, which involves the engine (the engine is composed of crank-connecting rod mechanism, valve train, oil supply system, cooling system, lubrication system, ignition system, starting system and other two institutions and five departments), gearbox, air conditioner and other accessories. Generally, a separate department is set up in the main engine factory to make the powertrain, and its business involves planning, design, testing, calibration, integration and layout.

The post of new energy powertrain involves motor, battery and electronic control, and also includes mechanical structure design, performance calibration, control strategy design, thermal management, system integration and various experiments.

The positions of the testing department are divided into parts testing and vehicle testing. The vehicle test includes three highs (high temperature, high cold and high humidity), durability and some performance tests, which require long-term business trips. Part is mainly durability test and some reliability tests.

The position of the chassis involves transmission, steering, driving and braking. Some car manufacturers integrate intelligent driving with chassis, because the control of intelligent driving mainly depends on steering system and driving system.

The position of the car body involves four doors and two covers, fender, car body frame and so on. I don't know much about the car body. I usually use some three-dimensional modeling software to model and do some finite element analysis.

Electronic and electrical positions involve electrical architecture, wiring harness, platform interface, electrical comprehensive testing, etc. There are more and more electronic and electrical equipment in the car, and this direction is not bad.

2. Let's talk about manufacturing jobs.

Automobile manufacturing includes four major processes: stamping, painting, welding and assembly. Manufacturing jobs generally involve production technology, production planning, logistics, quality assurance, procurement and so on. Workshop working environment, assembly > welding > stamping > painting.

3. Let's talk about the design post first.

Modeling design engineers mostly come from industrial design or art background. The position involves vehicle exterior design, sludge model making, interior and exterior decoration design, color texture design, forward-looking design, etc.

4. Functional position.

Such as human resources, legal affairs, logistics, security and so on. These jobs are service-oriented and essential for every company, and they are also some jobs that are easy to spit out in the company, haha …

5. Sales position.

Sales positions involve sales strategy formulation, brand promotion, word-of-mouth marketing, sales training, marketing specialist and regional manager. Among them, the regional managers need to travel for a long time, and each person is responsible for a large region. For example, the Northeast Region is responsible for sales in the three northeastern provinces. I understand that the regional managers of several top car factories always live in major five-star hotels.

6. I don't know much about after-sales and procurement.

Purchasing is probably playing excel, and we need to deal with suppliers and engineers of our company. Now major companies are advocating cost reduction, and the work pressure of purchasing posts should be no small.
