Qinhuangdao, referred to as "Qin", also known as a port city, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province. It is an important port city around Bohai Sea in China approved by the State Council, and a famous seaside tourist and leisure resort.

Qinhuangdao is the only prefecture-level city in China that holds both the Olympic Games and the Asian Games.
